Dear One and All,
Next Saturday (16th Nov.) will be final set up for this year’s Turkey Shoot.
The shoot itself is to be held on Sunday 17th Nov.
So, over the next weekend (16th-17th Nov.) non-Turkey Shoot related activities will not be permitted on the range, for the safety of everyone.
The club will shoot the Turkey Shoot course on Saturday 23rd Nov., with the pack away happening after the same.
Many thanks
Jon

Hi Everyone,
As the two day shoot rapidly approaches we will be having work parties on the next two weekends,
If you can help cut the grass and maybe able to supply your own strimmer, that would be appreciated.
After we have cut all of the grass needed to show and setup the course, we will also be placing the pegs, rebar and backstops around the course ready to setup the following week.
Also there is needed volunteers to man the food tent on the days of the shoot, please let me know if you intend to volunteer, thanks.
All help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation,
Frank. (27th June)
Secret Shoot, 25th May at 10.30am
Dear One and all,
The secret spring shoot will as previously advised be held on Saturday 25th May, the start time will be 10.30hrs, please do not start before this.
The course will be 25 targets which in a fit of retro-ness will be paper faces of animals on butts.
The set up will be next weekend 18th May. At the same time Randy will be running the annual Masons fun day, so the practice butts will be closed (other than for our guests).
On the day of the secret shoot, 25th May, all other courses will be closed and the practice butts will be closed from 10.15hrs.
The bow classifications for the day will be as follows:
Compound bow, any style and any sights, weights etc., you want
Recurve, any arrow type plus any other things you may wishing to add plus any other non-compound not using wooden arrows.
Longbow (both English and American), wooden arrows, feather fletching, no sights, no weights, no nuffing expect the bow.
Each class will be divided into:
Adults (anyone over 16 years of age) male and female.
Youths (anyone over 11 years of age, but less than sixteen years of age) male and female.
Children (anyone under 11 years of age) male and female.
There will be prizes, mostly of the consumable type.
The course itself will probably remain in place for a few weeks so members who cannot make the day can still shoot the same.
Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Jon

Target Preservation Shoot
Dear All,
Yes, it is that time of year again, the 11th Target Preservation Shoot will be held on the 9th Sept. with the ‘official’ (well as official as any thing gets at a TPS Shoot) start time being 10.30hrs.
There will be approximately 25 interesting targets to shoot and of course prizes. If our own Michelin Stared Chef is up to it there may even be food!
The range itself will be closed on 8th Sept. (except the practice butts) and only the TPS Shoot and practice butts will be open on the 9th Sept.
Hoping to see as many of you as possible for a grand day out.
Take care,
Jon

Two day shoot
Dear All,
The two day shoot rapidly approaches, and at times we will need all the help we can get.
The camping area, party/picnic area is being cut by Adam et al, as will the course, which I will set out on this coming Saturday, 3rd July (flags, pegs and re-bar only, no targets).
Saturday 8th July: We will need to set out the targets.
Friday 14th July: We will need to: set up the tea tent (and satellite tea tent), clean the tables, set up sitting areas, bin bags etc. etc., so if any of you can help that would be grand.
For the shoot itself we need volunteers to person the tea tent, both cooks, bottle washers, coffee/tea whallas etc., if anyone can help out in the tea tent then please let Frank know.
As ever there will be tidying up to be done after the party (and not just hung-over archers).
Many thanks,
Jon
